History of Irondequoit Gators Swim Club:

The Irondequoit Gators were originally incorporated on July 25th, 1991 and initially led by Ann Massari and Karen Muisus as co-Presidents and head coach Mike Cahill.

Mike left the club in 2003 to become the head coach of the RIT Mens and Womens Swim Team and was replaced by Jean Aurio. Jean held the head coach position until 2015 when she retired and Andrew Kuter took over. Andew led the team through 2020.

On August 28, 2020, a new partnership between the Irondequoit Gators and Webster BlueFins was announced.

Webster Swim Association operates the Webster BlueFins and will now operate the Irondequoit Gators. The merged team consists of a consolidation of our coaches and board and competes under the BlueFins name.

Both Boards feel very strongly about keeping the interest of our swimmers and promoting the sport of swimming. This is the most important thing we can do as a swim club, and this partnership will accomplish that.
